THE SPECIAL CATS OF CATS ANGELS
As a rescue group, Cats Angels makes every effort to see to the medical needs of all of the cats in our care. Some require specialized veterinary care. This year we have taken in cats and kittens with special eye issues and digestive problems. It is through your donations that these cats and kittens receive the best possible treatment.
All of the kitties at Cats Angels are special to us — these are just some that are extra special and looking for their forever homes. Maybe you’re looking for that extra special someone, too.
All of our special-needs cats are listed on the PetFinderwebsite and are denoted by a heart, or by a paw print for declawed cats.
Feline AIDS is NOT transmissable to humans and is only transmitted between cats by fighting. Cats with Feline AIDS can live long and healthy lives and they only require regular vet checkups and safe indoor living.
Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) is a viral disease of cats. Not all cats infected with the virus causing FIP will become ill. Cats exposed to FIP must be adopted as the only cat in a household, or by a family with other FIP cats.
Blind cats must never be let outside. They will do very well in your home as long as furniture placement, food and litter box locations remain consistent.
Declawed cats are also considered special needs because they must be protected from ever accidentally slipping outdoors. Having suffered the cruelty and pain of declawing, they are unable to protect themselves outdoors.
